Uzbekistan Living Treasures: Celebration of Craftsmanship (Special Edition)^ASSOULINE Hot

Now available as part of our Ultimate Collection, this special edition features one-of-a-kind hand-embroidered clamshells. Hand-sewn in Tashkent, Uzbekistan by Madina Kasimbaeva, one of the region’s most famous embroiders, each embroidery took several hours to complete before being individually dyed with natural pigments. With three unique designs, this edition of Uzbekistan Living Treasures uses a traditional Suzani technique of silk embroidery with patterns inspired by different regions of Uzbekistan. Due to the nature of the process, each clamshell cover is unique. Available exclusively on Assouline.com and in Assouline Boutiques.

Uzbekistan’s millennia-old arts and crafts tradition, originating from the Great Silk Road, is skillfully preserved through generations. Craftsmen, from potters to jewelers, create exquisite items like silk fabrics, gold embroidery, ornamental knives, and ceramics. Living Treasures: Celebration of Craftsmanship offers an intimate look at Uzbekistan’s artisanal heritage, bridging the past with present innovation.
