Farnham Estate: Inside The Historic Irish Estate^ASSOULINE Discount

For centuries, Farnham Estate has been carefully tended and managed by those who have had stewardship of this one-of-a-kind place. Originally purchased by the Maxwell family in 1664, it remained a private home for more than 330 years, before being redeveloped into a hotel in 2006. It has since evolved into an exquisite escape in the heart of Ireland, which bears the indelible mark made by the Maxwell family and is enjoyed by a new generation of residents.

Taking readers on a private tour of the grounds, Farnham Estate was imagined as a celebration of the place’s history. Each chapter dives into the history of the estate, from its founders and original story to its land and development into a resort hotel.

Featuring exclusive historical and contemporary imagery, this volume has been finely curated to showcase the best of the Irish estate. Narrated by Una O’Dowd and geographer Jonathan Cherry, it is completed by a foreword from the current owner of Farnham Estate, Thomas Röggla.
